Bimini is the closest Bahamian island to the United States, located just 50 miles off Florida’s coast withmiles of pristine beaches. Shark lovers flock to Bimini for the experience of diving with the Great Hammerhead. One of the island's points of interest is Bimini Road, which some believe is a remnant of the legendary Lost City of Atlantis.

Bimini has become know as one of the best places on earth to encounter the Great Hammerhead Shark. Safaris to see these elusive creatures run from a limited time every year in December through April.

The best dive sites are found in the south and there is something to suit every skill level. The Bimini Wall, also known as the Bimini Road,plunges 4,000 feet beneath the waves. Perfectly cut steps underwater are believed to be remnants of the road to long-lost city of Atlantis.

Wrecks include a number of sunken Spanish galleons, a WWI freighter wreck, and the battered concrete hull of The Sapona. Mysterious blue holes created thousands of years ago sink into the limestone.
