Earl Lowery 40 and Jake Gilbert 45 a Negro State Patrolman William Evans made the arrest after a chase through Richmond and out on the Bourbon pike where the machine driven by Lowery crashed into a fence Evans said he found six gallons of untaxed whiskey in machine The chase started on Lancaster avenue when Eyans attempted to caution Low ery concerning a traffic violation TURNOVER Charging negligence in keeping a State road detour in repair Seldon Longley Central City filed suit in McLean Circuit Court for $31700 damages against Ellis Kelly Co and John son road contractors The pe tition alleges Longley was in jured permanently when an automobile in which he was a passenger overturned on the detour last November purchase money to have the force and effect of a Judgment bear ing legal
