states. in minnesota, congresswoman ilhan omar has defeated several primary challengers. she breaks her recent streak of so-called progressive squad members who lost primaries. unlike those other lawmakers, she was not the target of attacks from outside groups over her views on israel. meanwhile, in wisconsin, a face-off is set between democratic senator tammy baldwin and wealthy businessman, eric hobde who has the endorsem*nt of former president trump. more than a week after ukraine launched a stunning cross-border assault, battles are still raging inside russia. the russian army is scrambling to retake land and villages seized by ukrainian soldiers. it's the first invasion of russian territory since the second world war, taking sl intelligence services and border guards by twice. let's turn to claudio lavanga.
